As the Detroit Auto Show continues, BMW today revealed its plans to turn CarPlay into a subscription service. The automaker only started supporting CarPlay last year, making it a $300 option on select cars, but it’s already planning to revamp its pricing scheme… According to The Verge, instead of charging owners a $300 for CarPlay up front, BMW will turn it into a subscription service. While the first year of CarPlay access will be free, each subsequent year will cost $80/year....

Black Sails, originally aired on STARZ and now available on Hulu, was a historical fiction series based somewhat on the novel Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. The events of the series serve as a prequel to the book, and features some of the same characters. Apple will drop the mask requirements at a number of its retail stores and offices as soon as this week, according to a new report from Bloomberg. The report says that Apple has informed retail and corporate employees of this change. Retail employees will also not be required to ask maskless customers for their vaccination status. Retail employees will still be required to wear masks, but customers will not. The report from Bloomberg explains:...
