The new addition works just the way it does on other platforms, in that you must complete the game first with the good ending to unlock Zangetsu in all his sword-wielding-chain-hooking glory. Once you’ve begun your journey, Zangetsu comes equipped with his own special abilities and skills right from the start, giving players a fresh experience through the campaign.
This now further rounds out the additions previously made to the mobile version of Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night after the last DLC release for all versions just two short months ago.
The mobile version of Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night only released in December 2020, and the continued support for it through added DLC and modes available on the PC and console versions should indicate the mobile version will soon be up to par with its PC and console siblings.
The next piece of the puzzle will hopefully be the addition of Classic Mode, which turns the clocks back on the 2.5-D perspective to a traditional 2D perspective. Until then, Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night and the rest of the DLC and modes are available on iOS and Android for $9.99
