Named State of the art Runner 2099, it would require a leap forward in speculation – comparatively as Denis Villeneuve’s Edge Runner 2049 did – to tell a new (or, possibly continuing) story in the domain of replicants, existentially-lamented cops, neon signs and tasty noodles.
